On April 26, 2025, the city of Yokohama came alive with energy, color, and continental pride as the Continental Futsal Tournament 2025 brought together residents of Japan from *five African countries—Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi—*alongside the Japan Samurai Futsal Club for a thrilling day of sport, culture, and unity.
Co-organized by the Kenyans in Japan Association (KIJA), the tournament served as a dynamic platform for diaspora engagement, cultural exchange, and community building through sport. The event showcased not only the incredible athletic talent within African communities in Japan but also the power of sports to bridge cultures and strengthen friendships.

The tournament featured competitive matches between national teams proudly representing their African heritage, while the inclusion of the Japan Samurai Futsal Club brought a valuable intercultural dimension that underscored the spirit of mutual respect and global unity.
